Laser Resurfacing

Laser skin resurfacing is often known as a laser peel. A laser is used to create a controlled depth injury to the upper layers of the skin. The depth of laser penetration determines the extent of the resurfacing and can be controlled by adjusting the power and focus of the laser. The resulting injury heals with contraction of the skin, which tightens and improves skin’s quality and appearance.

Laser treatment is useful for the improvement of:

  • Fine lines or wrinkles on the face, neck and upper chest
  • Scars from acne, chickenpox, or trauma
  • Loose skin after a face lift
  • Sun damage and age spots
