Virtual consultations are available to our patients. While we prefer to see all of our patients in person, we understand that that is not always possible. If you are unable to reserve the time necessary to visit in person, we can accommodate you in a virtual consultation for an evaluation by Dr. Feiner. You will, however, need to be seen in person prior to your actual surgery date- either a day or two before your surgery will take place. Whether you are seeking a second opinion, have questions or concerns, wish to correct a previous surgery, or are interested in having a new procedure, we are here for you! Your privacy is our main concern and is guaranteed. We can even do a preliminary exam online if you feel comfortable.
What to expect in a virtual consultation:
Dr. Feiner will set up an appointment time with you. Virtual consultations may be done over FaceTime, Skype, or WhatsApp.
Please be advised that, depending on your surgery, Dr. Feiner may ask you to remove your clothing so he can see the area of concern. You may want to choose an area in your home that is well lit and will offer you privacy during the consultation.
If you have questions on how to set up your computer or phone for the consultation, please call the office.
The average virtual examination takes approximately 30-45 minutes and you will receive the same care and concern you would receive in a regular office visit.
We suggest that you have a list of questions or concerns ready for Dr. Feiner before you log in; this will assist him in meeting your needs completely.
Our Plastic Surgery Consultation Process
Virtual consultations take place over Skype or FaceTime. After you call our office, our team will help you set up an appointment, and you will be given an easy list of instructions to follow for that day and time. If you have any questions at all about how to properly set up your computer for the consultation, don’t hesitate to ask!
We recommend you position your computer in a comfortable, private, well-lit room. We want you to feel comfortable talking about your procedure, and even taking a preliminary exam if you wish. Once you’re ready, turn on Skype or FaceTime, and we’ll take care of the rest!
Personal Care at Your Convenience
In a virtual consultation, we go through the same steps and cover the same ground as we would with a face-to-face consultation . It should take about 30 minutes, the same as it does in office.
With virtual consulting, you can gather facts, ask questions, and voice your concerns confidentially through our website. This special service allows us to provide the same personalized care that we offer in our office for those unable to be here. Whether you are seeking a second opinion, have questions or concerns, wish to correct a previous surgery, or are interested in having a new procedure, we are here for you! Privacy is guaranteed, so we can even do a preliminary exam online if you feel comfortable.
While most of the consultation process can be performed online, we believe it is still important to meet in person before your procedure so that you can feel comfortable and confident before moving forward. If you elect to have surgery, we will schedule a time to talk with you in person, either the morning of your surgery or the day before. We want to ensure you are at ease and that the procedure is right for you.
